I'm pretty normal- I fall in love easily. I use the word 'love' easily. I'm incoherent, especially on and after using the internet for a long time. I like knowing things. I don't know to use tumblr.
This just reminds me of how much I love his self-awareness. The trick to doing anything well is to know your strengths, your weaknesses and exactly what you want to do, all of which Kris knows spades about. The fact that he chose this song to replace No Boundaries tells me two things; firstly, that he knows his set well enough to select a song that will get the crowd on its feet after Heartless and right before Bright Lights and secondly, that he knows music, himself and his audience really well, because this was a freaking good choice for him. Not just because he can pull it off, but because it again takes him out of the box that most people who are determined to put him in, labelled sensitive safe boring balladeer.

The way he came out onto the stage alone; no band, no backing track, just him and the acoustic just like he did on Idol. The first thirty seconds of the video, so much for having no acting abilities bb. Maybe I've said this lots of times, but ack the way he starts this song is always awesome and goosebumpy. His hand movements!! on 'but that's the old me'! 'WHY WE UP THREE AM ON THE PHONE'!!!! The way he throws his hand off the guitar. no one is going to understand this but his feet. The way he teases the ending out.
This is the way it should be- singers should always perform and sound better live because then they're not hampered by unnecessary backing and have the audience to feed off on and improvise. I mean, the smallest things like inflection and how you adjust your pitch or a particular lyric, that can have a giant impact on a song. Enter John Mayer's Slow Dancing In A Burning Room at Webster Hall- that was inspired. Just like how Kris and Adam's performances are, at least from what I've seen of them and of their studios. They use the energy of the crowd and the emotion they feel in singing the song to alter their performance, hence making it better in the process.
